Stain Protection

Scotchgard and fabric stain protectors wont help a lot with keeping your carpet and upholstery from getting dirty, but it helps to make it easier to clean.

In general terms, the product coats the fibers and helps to prevent soils from sticking to, and absorbing into the scratches and crevaces on the fiber.

This means, when you spill that drink, or the pet "lets go" or whatever other type of soil hits the carpet, it will sit on top of the fiber and thus be "repelled" from setting in and leaving a stain.

This will keep your carpet looking new for much longer and help against premature wear from dirt particles that would thus be lodged in the carpet.

We recently have upgraded to an even more advanced form of protector called "maxim advanced".  This product not only protects against oily soils like Scotchgard, but also has dye resistors which will be a front line defense when those liquids containing dyes such as food coloring hit the carpet.  Examples:  Popsicles, kool-aid, wine with dyes in it etc.

I always advise application of protector if
it is within budget.
