Wet Basement?
We Know all about it!  Meaford and surrounding area is notorius for flooded basements, even in new homes.  We live close to the water and
groundwater levels can rise easily under the right weather conditions.
Sub pumps can fail, drainage can get blocked or backed up, or cracks
in your foundation all lead to a heap of trouble for the homeowner.

Before you panic and call your insurance company, who will refer you
to a water damage restoration company, take a minute to carefully
assess your situation.  First thing you have to do is stop the water source.
Whether it be calling a plumber, fix or replace your sub pump, relieving water pressure from outside or whatever you need to do to stop the water from coming in. Once that is done you can start your cleanup.

If your water damage is extensive, and needs contract work such as pulling out drywall and insulation, or replacement of carpet,  then you need to call your insurance company and arrange for a water damage restoration company to start restoring right away, within 24 hours, or you could have more damage and problems.

If the water saturating your carpet was contaminated in any way such as sewage backup, Oil from a furnace or similar, then you have to vacate your home and call your insurance adjuster right away.

Expert Carpet Care specializes in drying up your wet carpet and underpad without having to rip out or replace anything.  The cost for this type of service is usually far less than your insurance deductible.  As you can see above, we pressure extract, then set up drying equipment.  After the carpet and underpad are dry, we can come back to clean the carpets, which we strongly recommend after them being saturated like they were.

We are fully trained water damage restoration technicians.  After our initial inspection we can advise you if you need to have contracting work done, or if a quick dryup will suffice for your situation.

And on a final note, our rates are approximately 1/10th of what  a
water damage restoration company would charge you.  So if you think
the water spill is salvagable without having to remove drywall, insulation,
or carpeting, Expert Carpet Care can help!
